Hello list

Has anybody managed to get UTF-8 support for non-latin characters working in
LICQ? Number of users using UTF-8 is increasing, but I can't read these
messages with LICQ. That's what I do:
I press the ABC button and select from drop-down list item named
'Unicode (UTF-8)' After that, I click 'History' button, but see junk symbols
there. The same, of course, when I have default windows encoding set (since
messages are not in windows cp1251 encoding).

Has anybody managed to get UTF-8 support working (especially with cyrillic
symbols and windows UTF-8 clients like Trillian)?

And some technical info follows (i think it can be helpful):
I cut the message from the history file, did iconv -f utf-8 that_file,
and it looked like another unicode message. So i tried
iconv -f utf-8 | iconv -f ucs-2 -- and it worked!

Is it possible to make this conversion automatically within LICQ?
Can i write my own "charset" for this purpose? Or maybe somebody wrote it
already?

P.S. Now i use licq-daily snapshot (downloaded this night), licq -h prints:
licq version 1.3.1.
