Does it hang *before* the file selection dialog pops up, or after you have
chosen the directory?
Which version of Licq are you using, does it happen with the current SVN
version?
Do you use the qt-gui or the kde-gui plugin?
Can you generally accept files, or are direct connections blocked by your
firewall?
