 I can confirm problem and solution. Resolved it for myself by switching to
 the server side contact list, since authorization did not always work
 (firewall problems) and did not always solve the problem, even when
 successfull. It seems that AOL finally started to really implement the
 authorization feature.

 However, it seems that the problem can be solved by switching to server
 side contact list.

 I propose that the licq frontend (or daemon) should warn the user if he
 still uses the local contact list.
