I've got 8+ active projects that use Mapper. It will continue to be supported for a *long time*. It will not be the recommended path after 1.1, but given how long software <http://www.plsys.co.uk/mesa> I write tends to stay in production <http://dogscape.com> , I think it's safe to say that if you use Mapper today, you'll get at least 5 years of support on it.
