I agree; good intentions sometimes go astray. In other instances, entities
use "good intentions" to hide their agendas or ego.

You asked me, "How do you know?" I used to channel. Some disguised
themselves as benevolent "guru" types. Others, however, seemed very
innocent, not trying to sell any philosophy. many were just curious about
what's going on here. I have to ask you, though, how do know that
the devil wants us "to turn away from God . . . Jesus Christ." Although I
understand what you mean, and agree with you to a point, other religions
don't see it that way. How do you know it's like that? You don't, but you
believe it is. You take it on faith, which is a good thing. But it isn't
fact.

In the US, perhaps, but check out the Middle East and Asia (where most of
the people in the world live. I know that Relativism (which is very
insidious) is seeping into all of our institutions. Although, ultimately,
it can take us to dark places, it does have a positive effect on seeing
the relativity of the more hardened belief systems. The downside is, if we
take it to far, we'll end up with anarchy (real riot-in-the-street
anarchy, not comfortable armchair anarchy) and then, probably, martial
rule.

You know more about what the Christian church is doing than I do.

You're describing a "personal" God with human characteristics. There are
lots of them; not all personal Gods, though, are jealous. The God I
believe in, for example, loves everyone unconditionally. In the field of
faith, where no one can prove a story or belief right or wrong, I feel
that everyone is entitled to his or her belief, and has a more or less
equal chance of being right. Here, you could call in "probability"
and compare beliefs. For example, one could say, "I think God is the
Empire State Building." That earns a probability rating of about 1 (on a
scale of 1-100; 100 being the most likely to be true, 1 being highly
unlikely). Another says, "Krishna is God." Well, who knows. Maybe He is.
Krishna gets a 50 (from me). If you're totally dedicated to Jesus, you'd
give Krishna a 1, I imagine. But even a 1 or a 50, in reality, we could
both be wrong.

Nuff now. Nice chat.
