I'm not advocating smoking weed just to drive, but in my experience, I
drove more slowly and put further distance between myself and other cars
when I was high than when I was sober. I just wasn't in a hurry. Simple
as that. I think many wrecks are caused by people rushing themselves,
thinking that tailgating and swerving in and out of traffic was the answer
to getting there quicker. While it may save you 30 seconds or so, it's not
that big of a deal.

I'm an excellent driver, anyway, with more experience in my 28 years than
many people get in a lifetime. I can drive aggressively and weave through
traffic safely without having wrecks. If others freak out and slam their
brakes on, that's their problem. But when I was stoned, I just didn't do
it. It wasn't because I was afraid due to my "intoxication"... it was
because I was so mellow and carefree that I just wanted to relax, enjoy the
drive and listen to the radio. It was like heaven. :)
