Dear Mahrouk,
I would think that you, of all people, would
understand the workings of a government, having
come from one that is ever changing in your country.
Do you and the people of your country ALL agree
that nuclear testing should be going on? Do ALL
agree with the many bombings and attacks on
the Pakistanians?
Of course not. To say that the American
people are giving their blessings to the bombing
in Kosova is liking saying that you are setting bombs
on the trains leading to Pakistan.
The people here are like people everywhere.
Change comes slowly, not with violence and bombing,
but with voting. Those that are not in line with what
the majority feel, sooner or later are voted out of office.
The American people are not bombing the white
house, but they are sending e-mails to their congressmen
and the president. They are picketing the white house.
They are sending aid in the form of money, clothing
and food to the refugees and ultimately it is OUR
American dollars that will rebuild that country.
Do I agree with the bombing, NO. Can I or
any one person stop it, NO. To blame all the
people in a country for an atrocity being committed
is near sighted at best. There are atrocities far
greater going on in your country all the time, yet
no one is pointing a finger and blaming all the
citizens.
I only point this out because you have made
numerous verbal attacks against ALL Americans
about this assault. I would also like to point out
that America is not the one in charge of this mission,
but NATO, which is a conglomeration of many
countries.
I don't think that anyone on this list gives their
blessing to bombing and killing. I personally won't
eat any kind of flesh because I do not believe in
the taking of a life, any life. However, no one
asked me, or any other American, before the
bombing started. There are protests going on
even as I speak, but they take time, and perhaps
that is needed as this scenario needs to play out,
for whatever reason.
The wake up call is not just for America, but
for the entire world, including your country which
is testing nuclear weapons as we speak. I have
learned that change comes through chaos. Let
us hope and send energy toward a positive outcome.
