I didn't have time to comment on your great post yesterday, but I want to say thanks
for writing it. If anyone didn't pay much attention I suggest you go back and read it
again. It's really worth it.

Don't underestimate the accuracy of narrative. Sometimes that's the only way we can
get to the truth. People say Pirsig wrote narrative cos he wasn't an academic, but I
think there's more to it than that. He had to _show_ us what quality was, he couldn't
just tell us. Narrative was the best and most rational method for the job.
I thought you really captured the feeling of movement from static to Dynamic. It's not
as if we move rigidly from one to the other in a way we can predict. There's intuition
and the desire to be good and then from nowhere the metamorphosis happens. Your post
was good. I hope you'll stay around.
