Regarding comment #3: but that seems like the wrong direction to take: _Scheme_ fractions have no place as meters since one could not distinguish 4/10 from 2/5. So _if_ \compoundMeter was to support combined fractions, it would need to be in a form like \compoundMeter #'((4 (2 . 3) 4))
