Re the first remark in comment 5: first, thanks for the workaround.
Second, regarding beaming: if you compile the attached example, you'll see
that LP already handles beaming for "irrational" time signatures, including
at least some compound meter cases involving an "irrational" component. So
what's particular about the beaming case for the compound meter that
_doesn't_ work?
