On comment #13, I follow that if each object had a 'pad' around it, then
objects would be separated by of two pads, but LilyPond separates by just
one one "padding". 'skyline-horizontal-spacing was formerly an exception
to this pattern.
The regression test 'skyline-horizontal-padding.ly' and
also 'les-néréides.ly' no longer interleave so closely between systems, but
the changes are not found by the comparison in `make check`.
