Comment #6 on issue 1296 by [email protected]: Progerrors when using
\laissezVibrer in a cross-staff context
http://code.google.com/p/lilypond/issues/detail?id=1296
It turns out that LaissezVibrer ties do not have their Y-extents relative
to their note-heads, so I cannot use a constant (0 . 0) as their core
(before their direction is known) because this reserves space at the wrong
height in the staff.
I tried looking up the Y-extent of the head, via tie.cc, but I cannot
navigate the Scheme-C++ interfaces.
Setting cross-staff==##t, on the other had, reserves space at the /correct/
height in the staff. If anyone can explain how that works, let's use it.
