Ok, the translators will probably hate me for that, but I think that this
one should also make 2.17.96, at the danger of having to revert. At least
if I understand correctly that it allows the last page to compress when
ragged-bottom is false (the default), irrespective of the setting of
ragged-last-bottom.
Maybe the wording can be improved but that will then have to wait for
2.18.1. Keith, if you can manage rolling a patch in the next half hour,
I'll be applying it. If you veto the inclusion, I'll forego it (and then
the stuff will have to wait until 2.18.1). It's also an option to include
it without documentation change: that will lift some of the burden from
translators, and will probably not cause people to notice anything untoward
anyway.
