Other things we should likely mention:
Performance regression on Windows (expected to be ameliorated in 2.18.1)
At least "make all" should likely not be done with multiple make processes
(do we even have a chance to do this ourselves in GUB? Is it the default?).
I _think_ that the much more expensive "make doc" is likely uncritical.
