I think it's OK to say that the skyline changes have been at the expense of
some performance on Windows, but not to over-emphasise it - I only ever use
Windows for produstion work and it causes me no problem.
I've also not noticed a problem with make. When I do make, it's always
multi-processor, although I've not run it too often recently. GUB has been
fine with 7 virtual processors.
