But according to the documentation \omit Stem should do exactly the same as
\override Stem #'stencil = ##f in the third example. (I verify the output
is identical. Source of a comparison is attached.)
It seems that direction and position (right/left) of the stem exists and is
considered regardless of it's stencil being set to ##f.
So I raise my humble voice for reopening this issue.
