For all the .19.x versions I have on my desktop (up to 10.21 at present) I
get the following error from the example above:
syntax error, unexpected \lyricmode, expecting \sequential or \simultaneous
or << or '{'
\context Lyrics \lyricsto "a"
\lyricmode { aaa aaa }
