Hello Hosoda-san,

I *did* the apt-get install for the xetex packages as you requested and then 
ran the 'normal' commands to make, make check and make doc. That link is the 
result of the (English) PDFs generated by the make doc.

So I assume that something else (another set of commands) needs to be done to 
generate the PDFs with XeTex?

Prefer XeTeX than pdfTeX.
