Dear Mike,
Thank you for your rapid reply! It’s very useful for me. I will continue reading the CG and then go to the issue list. Thanks! The Contributor's Guide (we call it CG for short) is a great place to start. Once you've read it through, you can consult http://code.google.com/p/lilypond/issues/list. There are several issues that involve Scheme and C++ and perhaps even some that involve our various Python scripts. Once you find one (or several) that interest you, please let us know. Alternatively, a great way to start with LilyPond is to implement a new feature that you want to add to LilyPond. So, once you've looked through the Google issue tracker, please get back in touch and we can go from there. I want to take part in the development of lilypond. Could anyone show me where and how to start? (I am reading _Contributor’s Guide_) I can do programming in C, python and have the basic knowledge of scheme. Is there any easier task which can help me understand this system? I am very interested in open source software development but actually know little about its detail, and want to be involved. I love music and play violin, so found this lilypond project. I would appreciate it if anyone could help me to get started. Thank you for your attention!:) Fan Ziye 2013-Jan-17 _______________________________________________ lilypond-devel mailing list <mailto:[email protected]> [email protected] <https://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/lilypond-devel> https://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/lilypond-devel
