In case you wonder, on Arch both /lib and /lib64 are symlinked to
/usr/lib; they also abandoned the distiction between /bin, /sbin,
/usr/sbin and /usr/bin, and the former three are symlinked to the
latter.
Ok, that's an important difference to other linux systems:
On Fedora there are these symlinks:
[~]$ ls -l /lib
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 7 13 lug 2018 /lib -> usr/lib
[~]$ ls -l /lib64
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 9 13 lug 2018 /lib64 -> usr/lib64
[~]$ ls -l /bin
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 7 13 lug 2018 /bin -> usr/bin
[~]$ ls -l /sbin
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 8 13 lug 2018 /sbin -> usr/sbin
