Hi all:
I'm wondering how to force the lyrics in a hymn to all left justify (which would result in moving the notes): This clip shows the lines as generated now (see attached .ly file) whereas the one of the right shows what I'm looking for. (apart from the red line and green arrows which are just there for illustration). The left shows the first note in each line aligned which is the default lilypond behavior. The right shows the first lyric/word in each line aligned. So I'd like the first letter in each lyric line to line up with a particular margin (that I'd like to set) and to shift the corresponding noteheads/stems of the entire line right or left as needed to make that happen. If you're wondering why, it's because I'm trying to perfectly match the style of an existing psalm/hymn book and this is one of the features. Any help would be greatly appreciated! JamesT
