The file /etc/profile.d/lilypond-profile.sh is missing in the package, which explains the problems reported by Warren Stickney and others.

Windows users should know by now that Cygwin is using the TEST/Experimental distribution (in setup.exe's Package selection screen, choose the (x) Exp radio button) to test the new release.
Make sure that you are running cygwin-1.5.2 (or newer) and other packages from TEST, using packages from Curr will not work.
