< \\ > introduces new Voice contexts, so the \) happens in a different voice from the \( . I don't see the need for < \\ > anyway.
My mistake: I should have included the entire next bar, so you can see why I need (or at least think I need) the new voice context(s)...

Unless there's an easier way to do the necessary triple-stop, I'm using a second voice to insert the quarter-note (and then remove the stem):
%% m004
\time 3/2
{ <<a' f''>>4\mf ef'' \times 2/3 {d''4-\tenuto\( af' bf'} b'8 e'?\> b? bf\! } |
%% m005
\time 7/4
<
{ af4\)\p \grace g8-( <<c' bf'>>2-\upbow-) <<d' cs''>>1-\downbow } \\
{ s2. \transparentStem g4 }
> |
[As an aside, if this is the only way to do this, it would be nice if the 'bass' note aligned better automatically.]
Is there a better way to engrave multiple-stop elements?
Thanks, Kieren._______________________________________________ Lilypond-user mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://mail.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/lilypond-user
