and see the result.

Without knowing what your music is supposed to look like, it's very hard to 
solve your problem for you.  ;)

Oh. So if you use the global block as a collection of tempo dynamics and global settings then it's mandatory then to explicitly put the duration in a piece of music INSIDE the part that could otherwise normally get away with shorthand of not duration put explicit because the spacer rest would thus override this? Confused but good to know thank you. R
