Hello,

I have looked around for a possible Frescobaldi replacement in case it
should remain unmaintained for a longer time. I have test-driven Visual
Studio, and I might opt for it as a replacement. But Frescobaldi is
just a fantastic tool and so good that I will keep using it as long as
possible.

There may also be something going on in the background about
Frescobaldi: I had updated my Frescobaldi flatpak from the beta channel
of Flathub, and on the splash screen it said 'Frescobaldi 4.0.0' When
you compare the technical information of the two versions, you see
quite a few differences: in version 4.0.0 the underpinnings have been
ported to higher versions of important components - see attached
screenshot. This gives me hope that Frescobaldi is still alive...

All best
