Currently, the wiki is open for anyone to edit (even without an account, and without approval of changes). I would prefer to keep it like this because it keeps the friction low, although I'm open to opinions on this point.
while it's great to have such an optimistic view on the world, I doubt that this is manageable in the longer run. I see other open source infrastructure even disabling registrations and fall back to "please send a mail if you want an account", because the spam- and bot traffic is way too heavy. It may also be worth consideration to introduce Anti-AI-bot-firewalls like Anubis (https://anubis.techaro.lol/)
