I don't think the example is appropriate for your snippet: Anglican Chants are normally notated as metered music, with accidentals treated conventionally. (It's barely recognisable for what it purports to be.) I think it would preferable to modify the examples of either the Psalm and other chant styles from the NR (§2.1.7 in the vicinity of Anglican Chant), or those in Unmetered Music in §1.2.3. You might contrast their treatment of measures, beaming and accidentals with that in your method. Cheers, David.
