Hi Marcin, You've touched on one of the reasons why I moved the builds away from using seeds. It needlessly complicates the builds since there are other and easier to maintain ways to accomplish the same thing. It also creates an extra point of failure.
Meta packages also make it more difficult for those customizing images of which there are a few that do that. You're right that tools come and go least for now both debian, ubuntu and linaro are all standardized on the same thing. In the end it's your decision.
