In summary, I did the following: 1) I looked at existing pm tools 2) Eliminated the ones that are not open source 3) Focused on the ones that complemented Launchpad blueprint facility (i,e. offered what Launchpad does not, for example load balancing, scheduling etc... ) 4) I was really keen on finding a good tool that supports import/export of text based files, to make it easier to transition to the new tool from Launchpad blueprints or be able to integrate with Launchpad blueprint facility. In addition, I looked briefly at Kaban, but did not focus on it, b/c I did not think we want to pay money per seat/per month. When I did this exercise, Agile was not in focus as it is now, so a lot of effort has gone on regular project management tools. Other Agile tool we could consider is Endeavour.
