Subject: [Linaro-project-management] patch tracking

Action item from 5/19/2011 meeting
How does the toolchain team track patches and what is the infrastructure
team doing in this regards.

Currently the toolchain team has a gcc-linaro-tracking project, to track
patches they submit upstream.
When they submit a patch they mark the ticket as affecting the
gcc-linaro-tracking project.
Whenever the state of the patch changes they manually change the status of
the ticket of the gcc-linaro-tracking project.

The Infrastructure team is working on a patch tracking tool based on
Patchwork to track patches as well as to gather metrics.

In the blueprint
https://blueprints.edge.launchpad.net/linaro/+spec/other-linaro-n-patch-tracking
One of the Work items is the following: Script which scans commits on the
location specified by every project and update state of patches that have
been committed: INPROGRESS
Hopefully, this WI would alliviate some of the manual process that the
Toolchain team does.

By copying James and Guilherme, I am asking the sate of that Work Item, what
state it is in and whether it is high on their priority list.

Thanks & Regards,
Mounir
