The short answer is yes, the long answer is that you may not want to bother.
True Type is a proprietary spec made by Microsoft & others; the fonts
generally do not look all that great (especially when you attempt to "scale"
them), but in conversion they look horrid. There are no free tools to
convert them, but a list of non-free tools is at
<http://www.ora.com/homepages/comp.fonts/FAQ/cf_12.htm#SEC25>. If you do
choose to do this, the output will probably look worse than bad.
But the good news is that if you check out
<http://www.ora.com/homepages/comp.fonts/>, you can find tons and tons of
good, free, fonts. Also the comp.fonts faq is at
