I am announcing the start of a new project tentatively named
OpenDesigner. OpenDesigner is intended to be a Free, modular
CAD application for use on Linux and Unix workstations. Initially,
KDE will be the target desktop, although GNOME will be
considered after it has matured somewhat.
The project is just beginning, so the current code base is minimal.
The following people are needed to help speed progress along:
C++ programmers with some experience with typical CAD operations.
C++ prorammers that want something to do.
Engineers/Achitects/Technicians with opinions, wants, needs, and
gripes.
Artists for icon design and various other glyphs and images.
