MIDI. UGH!

Has anybody gotten Jazz to work right? I'm using the OSS drivers with a
Gravis Ultrasound, a Lowrey Microgenie (don't laugh) and a Roland D-110.
It works 90% of the time, but it'll insert random notes into the mix, or
get really confused. I'm at my wits end with this. Any suggestions?
