which is a site for a free CuSeeme clone for Linux.  I've been able to
lurk and see other people's images and chat with them via the built in
chat utility of qseeme.  When I get my qcam, I'll see if it works with it. 
Basically, qseeme captures part of the Xwindows screen and sends that off. 
As long as you've got a program which displays qcam images on your X
display it should work.  It also works with your sound card with or
without the video portion of the program.
