Dear folks, I've just spent a frustrating couple of days trying to figure out why my soundcard got much noisier when I put it in a new (faster) system. The experience of trying to research possible remedies convinced me of the need for something more than the LDP's Sound-HOWTO. So, I've started a proposed Audio-Quality-HOWTO. The idea is a supplemental document to the Sound-HOWTO, containing every piece of information I can find on how to get _good_ sound out of your Linux box. (I'm talking about PCM audio, not MIDI). The first draft is on my web page at: http://members.tripod.com/~slinkP/pw_linux/Audio-Quality-HOWTO.html Contributions, corrections, comments would be most welcome. -- ------------------- paul winkler -------------------- slinkP arts: music, sound, illustration, web design, etc. [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://members.tripod.com/~slinkP ========================================================= ------ To unsubscribe from <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> mailing list send message 'unsubscribe' in the body of message to <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>.
