Not to the task in question, but after much searching, I find
the home page for another Interesting MP3 app, Gramofile,
seems to have disappeared from the net. This was GPL code
developed by J.A. Bezemer for purpose of ripping MP3s from
vinyl, with filters to remove pops and other surface noise. It
ran in terminal with curses-type menus; an X interface was
on the todo list. *Sigh* I downloaded this, never got around
to installing it, and deleted during an overhaul with intention
of grabbing it again from the net. Really wanted to see this
project continue. Too many tracks to rip only available on 7"
or otherwise never transferred to CD, and otherwise would
have been a perfect compliment to terminatorX...
