Hey all.

I just joined the linart list.

I'm a (surprise, surprise) computer graphics artist. I work primarily
in raw postscript, outputting either to laser printer, CNC milling
machine -> brass, or I print out lists of pixel values, and make
mosaics by hand. I also do some mixed media of laser prints &
scenciled spray-paint.

Lots and lots of photos at: www.cca.org/dave/art.html

As for Free Software, I do all my postscript processing with
ghostscript, primarily on an old Sun (SS2) running OpenBSD.
I used to use an RS/6000, but AIX is annoying, and OpenBSD
is not available for the first-gen RS6K's, so I switched
to the sparc. (Taking a major performance hit on the way...)

I deal with linux at work, but I prefer *BSD, probably because
I learnt unix on a VAX running BSD in the mid 80s.

I'm also heavily involved in the local underground music/art scene, and
run the website for a local artist's mill space kinda thing:
fortthunder.org. We've been planning a project of putting a bunch of
local bands' MP3s up on the local freenet (in the old sense of
"freenet" - net access bbs) but that hasn't quite happened yet...
