Thank you for compiling this list. I’m glad that Kati had a good experience
with Muirfield Mechanical—we too had a good experience a couple years ago and
at one point May have even also recommended them on LT—
—however: not any more!—
Things have changed, and we now recommend NOT using Muirfield Mechanical.
Buyer beware!
This year when we called on Muirfield for additional work, it has been a
nightmare. Without going into all the details, I’ll just say that we had to
hire an independent inspector to come out and assess and record all the
problems. Also, reps from MassSave are coming out to assess and problem solve.
Meanwhile Muirfield has been virtually non responsive. Finally after reaching
out multiple times, Muirfield’s sales rep came out, admitted their error, and
promised to make things right. He said he had spent much of the late summer
making house calls to unhappy customers whose new systems had problems. His
version of problem solving (due to their own installation errors and poor
calculations) took the form of $7000 in additional charges to fix the problem
they acknowledged they caused. (?!)
All they want to do these days is sell equipment—installation and customer
service has gone to the dogs.
Very disappointing and frustrating—avoid Muirfield.
