"It is a policy that, if you have something you'd like to say to the moderators, you can send an email directly to us. Posting to the list means you are not serious, but are looking for a bully pulpit. You're looking for an audience, not a solution and a reminder of list policies is all you're going to get."
I feel this is a bit unfair. I venture to guess that many of the people using this list don't have the slightest idea how to send a message only to the moderators. I found the address by clicking on the link at the bottom of your message that says "Change your subscription settings". That brought me to a page that contained the sentence: "For general information about the list, including its rules and policies, please visit lincolntalk.org <http://www.lincolntalk.org/>." Went to lincolntalk.org and found the address of the moderators ( [email protected]) and a link to the Rules and Policies: https://www.lincolntalk.org/rules-and-policies. So it is all out there, but also not immediately obvious. Sharing this in case there's anyone else who isn't aware of how to find the moderators' address and the policies.
