At the emergency meeting this past Friday, the Water Commissioners and
attendees discussed a reverse 911 to inform Lincoln residents about the
drought situation. It was decided that this mode of communication should be
reserved for emergencies requiring immediate action (water main breaks
etc.).

*Obviously*, the sooner a drought situation is addressed, the better.
Sandwich boards have been placed at locations around town with
drought information.
An insert relating to the drought situation is going out with the next
water bill. The water bills are being mailed tomorrow.

The use of lawn sprinklers at Oriole Landing was brought up by an attendee
and will be addressed. Specific methods for informing the tenants have not
been discussed.

Of note, the Water Commission is not a direct report to Town Hall.
However, it does have a Select Board member as a liaison who participates
in Water Commission meetings.

With best regards,
Steve Gladstone
