Dear resourceful community, we need to replace our ageing smoke detector system, and hopefully upgrade to a carbon monoxide and smoke detector system. Our current system is installed by code at the very highest parts of our very high ceilings, making "simple" replacement of the battery backup more of an adventure on a very high ladder than either my husband or I want to or should deal with. Wondering if the community has any suggestions for a system, an electrician or company who can come up with a compliant system that can be accessed for battery replacement without having to scale a high ladder. Hoping for your wisdom and experience. Pat O'Malley The information in this e-mail is intended only for the person to whom it is addressed.
