Concern about the lack of public transit not a smokescreen for those who need
that transit.
It is a reality.
Public transit issues should take center stage if there is any hope of reducing
reliance on automobiles.

It is shameful that we have relegated public transit as the only viable option
for the least among us, as we motor about.

We have seen a marked decline in safe, reliable public transit options, not an
increase.
We should not allow housing, and not even affordable housing, to deflect
attention away from the sorry state of our public transit system.
And that what the state is seeming to do.
