I agree about fast cars causing unsafe conditions along Weston Rd. I have had several frightening close encounters from speeding-by vehicles; sometimes the drivers are not even watching the road. I have had good luck with reporting license plates/make/model of speeding cars to the Lincoln police, as well as reporting lack of safety for local pedestrians to the police/alerting the police, who at times have sent a car out to watch for/catch/warn speeders.

Hello Lincoln Talk!
My partner and I recently moved to Weston Rd, and we walk our dogs along the road on our way to safer trails. While the posted speed limit is 25 mph, cars regularly exceed 35-40, especially during the rush hour surge. Some of you may have seen me wildly gesturing to cars to slow down. I have been feeling increasingly unsafe walking, as cars can't see around the bends of the narrow road, and I feel as though it's only a matter of time before one of us gets hit.
Some sort of speed bump, traffic calming measure, or just greater enforcement is needed on Weston Rd to avoid dangerous situations and an inevitable injury.
For Lincoln residents who commute by car on this road, I am begging you to slow down and show a bit of concern for your neighbors who live here.

Sam One would think the current condition of Tower Road, where I was walking with my wife and dog this morning and close-passed at 45+mph by a Lincoln resident in a white Audi sedan, would slow drivers down. Nothing like being late for work or school drop-off to turn otherwise mild-mannered people into lunatics with little regard for their fellow humans. And not even to mention the disregard for their own vehicle's suspension!
Yes, (lincoln) definitely needs more speed humps in my opinion, especially the mal-radiused, pot holed, fractured and broken variants currently inflicting suspension havoc in both cars and bicycles alike.
Yep, bring on the speed humps.
