I’m glad I could help! In terms of area, it’s just a question of how big
your roof is. My roof is ~1,000 sq. ft. I bought two containers, and I
think I only used one, or maybe 1 1/4. You can get it at most hardware
stores, so you could always start with one, and go back for another if you
need it.

I don’t know firsthand about plants or pets, but I did a little digging,
and these are the instructions the company gives:

PETS AND CHILDREN: Keep pets off treated surfaces until product has dried.
If contamination occurs, rinse paws. Keep children off PLAY EQUIPMENT (i.e.
Slides, Plastic Gyms), treated with Wet & Forget® Outdoor, until washed
down with fresh water, a day after application.

PLANTS: Flush plants with fresh water if accidentally sprayed. Windy
conditions reduce reach and can increase spray drift onto plants.

Best of luck! And please let me know if you have any more questions.

Hi John,

Thanks for the Wet-and-Forget suggestion. I had never heard of
this product. It sounds as though it would do the job for us.

We have a lot of mold on one part of the roof as well as some on one side
of the house. Do you think it could tackle a fairly large

area?

One concern I have is that we have flowers and plants near the house. Did
you take any precautions to protect plants?

Also, a dog?

Thanks for your input!

Power washing can be great (and really satisfying) on non-painted surfaces.
One low-cost alternative is Wet-and-Forget:
https://www.wetandforget.com/wet-and-forget-hose-end.html. It comes as a
hose attachment that increases pressure so it’ll reach the top of your roof
or wherever you need. You just spray the affected area, and after a few
days, the mold (or any moss or lichen on your roof) will just disappear. It
did a great job on my place!

One side of our house and roof is starting to look like our grass -
very green.

I suspect it needs to be power washed.

Any suggestions?
