thanks to the people who responded to my question.11 people submitted
recommendations.
out of those,6 recommended dee funeral home in concord.john there told me that
the average cost for a funeral these days is around $10,000. the cost for
basic cremation transportation from the place of death to their funeral home
and then to a crematory (with no visitation or service at the funeral home) is
$5425.
one person liked brown + hickey funeral home in belmont,their price for the
same service is $3560
one person recommended casper's in south boston -they proudly advertise their
$1395 price for the inclusive cremation service and they do a high-volume
business; they even have their own casper cremation app!i read lots of 5-star
reviews of their services, but also saw a 2017 WCVB and State investigation
into them using a non-licensed garage for holding bodies... (they were fined
and don't do that any more. still....)
1 person suggested tunnecliffe funeral home in concord/now called concord
funeral home. i called a couple of times but couldn't get a call back from the
director and gave up.
two people recommended faggas funeral home in watertown, their complete
cremation package is $2305.
i got my answer and now know how to pre-plan. thanks!
