If one suspects that Option C is less popular than the alternatives wouldn't it be useful to see that reflected in the straw poll results to settle the question? While Lincoln Talk and conversations with neighbors have been useful for understanding concerns and exploring new ideas, I'd be reluctant to rely on those as a bellwether of what the town would ultimately vote for.
