Around the time of the first moon landing, I was a member of the New England Science Fiction Society. The group worked with the sf writer Hal Clement to assemble an anthology of short stories that had been written in the past predicting the first landing on the moon. I think it was called "First Flights to the Moon" - I have a copy of it around somewhere. The thing that struck me was that not a single one of those stories anticipated that the expedition would be in real time video communication with the earth so that the entire world could see that first step.
