Hi Laura,We had our 275g oil tank replaced in 2012 by then Concord Oil (now
Haffners). It was not yet leaking, but starting to show signs of "sweating", a
precursor to leaking. We replaced it with he tank they recommended,  a
top-of-the-line, double-walled ,15yr warrantyRoth EcoDWT; $1432 plus $1900
install, permit & removal. It was quite a process. The oil remaining in the old
tank was pumped out to a temp unit set on our lawn, then pumped back into the
new tank. The old tank was carefully removed through a basement partition wall
that needed to be taken down. The tank may require being cut up into smaller
pieces depending on basement egress (ours did not).Great experience then and
since. Good luck with yours!...Dan

<[email protected]> Subject: [LincolnTalk] oil tank replacement Hello
Lincoln,We have a small leak in our oil tank. Not currently dripping but time
is of the essence. I am looking for advice on oil tank replacement. We have
MacFarlane energy (formerly Baker Whitney) through Green Energy Consumers
Alliance. I would like to learn your experiences about what tank to get and who
are the best people to install it. It is not covered by our annual service
plan. Thanks,Laura
