We just plug it into a regular outdoor extension cord…been doing it for years, never an issue
Sent from my iPad So, for people with heated bird baths, do you use a generic outdoor extension cord for that? I kind of worry about the junction between the extension cord and the bird bath just lying on the ground, possibly in a puddle of water. Do you elevate the junction or maybe wrap it in plastic to protect it from water infiltration? Lovely picture of deer ! I had ten birds splashing in the bird bath this morning.
So good to read your note, Sue, about birds and water. Thank you!
We purchased a heated bird bath several years ago, and its had ok use throughout the years.
This year we have had so many birds, a few squirrels and, once, even a young deer at midnight.
The birds and animals are really thirsty in this drought.
Yesterday a cardinal, bluebird and chickadee were sipping at the same time. Wish I had been camera ready.
And we see often twosome birds "bathing" at the same time.
We feel good helping them, especially now.
