It is with humility that I ask for your support for re-election as a Trustee to the Bemis Free Lecture Series.
It has been an honor and pleasure to serve the town in this capacity.

I am one of 3 Trustees who work to bring programs to Lincoln for “the education and edification” of Lincoln citizens, per the charge of George Bemis in 1890, who endowed the series.
We also bring programs for entertainment and recreation, per the charge of John Todd who doubled the endowment in 1982.

Our work during COVID was a challenge, but we managed to offer a webinar with Elise Lemire.
This allowed a wide audience to participate, and then view again on YouTube.
We followed, once we were out and about, with a joyful event to close Winter Carnival-a gospel choir.

We are continuing that tradition with a dance, al la 1775-in celebration of the 250th anniversary of April 19, 1775.
And there are more events in the works.

Bemis Free Lecture Series is committed to programming that reflects a long-term commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion and welcome any and all suggestions as to how best serve that commitment.

For more about the series, see the attached and on the town website, linked below.
